Unlike all the other groups in the European Parliament, the Greens/EFA is the only Group who always had a gender-balanced co-presidency.

Gender balance is also guaranteed among Bureau Members. The Greens/EFA statutes specify that at least half of the Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons posts shall be held by women.

Terry Reintke (Germany) and Bas Eickhout (Netherlands) lead the group since 19 June 2024.
